“Iran, Bully of the Middle East, Must Now Make Peace”: Trump’s Address Post Attack on Iran

Trump ended his speech with a stark warning: “There will be either peace or there will be tragedy for Iran far greater than we have witnessed over the last eight days.” He noted that although the targets hit were the most difficult and lethal, “most of them can be taken out in a matter of minutes” if Iran does not back down.

In a late-night address from the White House, former President Donald J. Trump confirmed that the United States military had carried out “massive precision strikes” on three key nuclear facilities in Iran—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan, declaring the mission a complete success.

“Tonight, I can report to the world that the strikes were a spectacular military success,” Trump said. “Iran’s key nuclear enrichment facilities have been completely and totally obliterated.” He added that the objective was to destroy Iran’s nuclear enrichment capability and halt the threat posed by “the world’s number one state sponsor of terror.”

Trump described the facilities as part of a “horribly destructive enterprise” and warned that if Iran does not choose peace, future attacks “will be far greater and a lot easier.” He called Iran “the bully of the Middle East” and cited decades of hostility, including chants of “Death to America, death to Israel,” and acts of violence that he attributed to Iran’s leadership and its late military commander Qassem Soleimani.

He also expressed strong support for Israel and praised Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, saying, “We worked as a team like perhaps no team has ever worked before.” Trump commended both the Israeli military and the U.S. armed forces, specifically thanking the American pilots who carried out the mission and calling the operation one “the likes of which the world has not seen in many, many decades.”

The former president also extended his gratitude to General Dan “Razin” Caine, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, describing them and their teams as “brilliant military minds.”

Closing his address, Trump offered prayers for the military and the region, saying, “God bless the Middle East. God bless Israel, and God bless America.”
